Iraqi League

The Iraqi League (IL) is a non-profit making popular organisation with the sole aim of promoting the interests of the Iraqi people living in Iraq and abroad. The IL believes Iraqi interests are best served by a truly independent and fully sovereign Iraq; and with an Iraqi government free from foreign influence and/or control which has the Iraqi people’s interest at heart and foremost. The IL’s vision is of a peaceful Iraq that guarantees its citizens rights through an honest objective justice system: an Iraq, where Iraqis are equal before the law, who positive-compete on the basis of ability and degree of skill to serve the Iraqi people; and not because of blood-relations, foreign allegiance, sect, religion and/or ethnicity. Thus, the IL has made its mission is to bring together all Iraqis under one nationalist umbrella and flag, irrespective of race, religion, gender, colour or sect; and who share a common belief in the noble values of humanity of peace, liberty and justice to all. The IL truly believes that it is under this nationalist umbrella and this umbrella alone, that Iraqis can prosper, achieve their dreams and fulfil their full potential in the light of the unique history and civilisation to which they belong. The IL believes in transparency and the democracy for Iraq; and in the promotion of dialogue and discussion amongst all. As such, the IL itself adopts a democratic system in its workings, in which all can participate in achieving the league’s vision and objective.
